You can delete your account at any time, from the app or the website. Deletion takes effect immediately, signs you out on every device and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
In the app (passenger or driver)
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
On the website
- Passengers: sign in at blackcrownmobility.com. Drivers: sign in at driver.blackcrownmobility.com.
- Open Profile, then under Delete account choose Delete my account.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
By email
If you can no longer sign in, email support@blackcrownmobility.com from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with. We will verify that the account is yours and delete it within 30 days.
An account can't be deleted while it has an upcoming or in-progress ride. Cancel or complete the ride first.
What is deleted
- Your name, phone number, email address and profile photo
- Your Google and Apple sign-in links, and all active sessions
- Saved payment cards, and your customer record with our payment processor (Stripe)
- Saved places, and the registrations that send notifications to your devices
- Your consent to text messages
- Drivers: your driver profile is deactivated and can no longer receive trips
What is kept, and for how long
- Past trips, payments, tips, ratings and the messages exchanged on a trip are kept as business records, with your name and contact details removed. We keep them for as long as we are required to for accounting, tax, legal, safety and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Drivers: the documents submitted for approval (such as license and insurance) and vehicle details are kept with the deactivated driver record, for the same purposes.
- Trip location points are deleted automatically 30 days after they are recorded.
- Conversations with the in-app assistant are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- If you have never taken or booked a ride, your account is deleted completely, with nothing kept.
